Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-29.1

1. What this is

icAtlas is software for planning low-voltage cable runs from building drawings. It produces run lengths, bills of materials and printable plans. It is operated by IRON CORE STUDIO, LLC ("we", "us").

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Professional use and minimum age

The service is for businesses and for people acting in a professional capacity, such as cabling contractors, integrators and estimators. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. It is not directed at children and we do not ask for dates of birth.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under the minimum age, we may restrict it and will handle the data as described in the Privacy Policy.

2a. Use in the United States

The service is offered for use in the United States. [Counsel: decide whether to exclude other countries expressly, and how export-control and sanctions language should read.]

You agree that we may give you notices and records electronically (by email, in the app, or on our website) and that your electronic acceptance and signature are binding, as the federal E-SIGN Act allows. You can ask for a paper copy by writing to [Contact email].

3. Your account

Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us promptly if you think your account was used without permission. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you allow to use it.

The person who creates a company account is its owner. Owners and the people they authorize can invite others, set what each person may do, and see the projects, settings and activity of everyone in the company, including who can open each project. The company, not each member, controls access to its projects. The owner is responsible for who is invited and what they are allowed to do. [Counsel: review this allocation of responsibility.]

4. Your drawings and content

You keep your rights in the drawings, files and data you put into the service. You give us permission to store, display, annotate and process them, in your browser and on our servers, and to create derived data from them (such as wall geometry, run lengths and bills of materials), only to provide the service to you.

You confirm for each upload that you own the drawing or have permission to use it as described. We do not check this, and our record of your confirmation shows only that you gave it.

Data we derive from a drawing is kept separately from your original file. We do not claim ownership of the underlying design of any building. Tracing, converting or simplifying a drawing does not remove anyone's rights in it, and an export that leaves out the original drawing can still reproduce a protected arrangement of spaces. You are responsible for having the right to export, print, share or publish any output.

We keep your original file unchanged. We store a checksum so you can show it has not been altered.

5. Estimates, verification and professional responsibility

Outputs are estimates. Scale, measurements, detected items, run lengths and quantities depend on the drawing and on your settings, and must be checked by a qualified person before you buy, cut, install or quote from them. Items placed or measured automatically are marked unverified until you confirm them.

Cut lengths are rounded up to whole feet by design. Outputs are installation documentation. They are not reviewed, approved or certified by any architect or engineer, and they do not show that an installation meets any code, standard or safety requirement.

6. Optional AI features

Features that send parts of your drawing to an outside AI provider are off by default, are enabled per project, and need a separate confirmation from you. See the AI Features Policy.

7. Acceptable use and copyright complaints

Our Acceptable Use Policy and Copyright and Takedown Policy are part of these Terms.

8. Fees

[Pricing, billing period, renewal, cancellation and refund terms go here before any charge is made. Show the recurring price and renewal terms before the user pays.]

9. Availability, changes and ending the service

We may change or discontinue features. You can delete any project, or your whole account, in Settings; this removes your files and data from active storage, subject to the records we keep as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or to comply with law.

10. Warranties and liability

[Counsel to supply the warranty disclaimer, limitation of liability and indemnity terms that fit the governing law and the business.]

11. Governing law and disputes

TEXAS

[Counsel: whether to require informal resolution first, arbitration, a class-action waiver, and a small-claims carve-out, and how to word each for a business-to-business service.]

12. Changes to these Terms

When these Terms change in a way that matters we publish a new version and ask you to accept it before you continue.
